Anthony Owl

Anthony Owl was born on Dec.4, 1967, in Tulsa, OK to Annie Lou Owl. He departed this life, on Dec. 9, 2015, in Ft. Smith, AR, after attaining the age of 48 years and 5 days.
He is survived by his 83 yr old Maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Holmes Randolph, of the home. She raised Anthony from an infant to Adulthood. He is also survived by brothers, Russell & Dewayne Bearpaw, of Rocky Mtn Community. Although Anthony lived from time to time with his Mother, Annie and Stepfather, Leon Bearpaw. Other survivors include; his beloved companion of many years, Emily Watie & her children, Marco, Eduardo, Danielle, Alexandra & Rachael Watie, all of Roland, OK, also, Christina Waltermire of Marble City, OK and her daughter, Alana Locust, who called Anthony, Paw Paw. He loved each of these children as his own. Other survivors include his Aunt Louella Studie of Welling, OK, Aunt Leola Lee & husband, James of Marble City, OK, Aunt Debra Owl of Bunch, OK, Aunt Sandra Livers & husband, Delmer of Sallisaw, OK. Aunt Katherine Crisp & husband, Ed Crisp of Ft. Smith, AR. Uncle Ronnie Bush who shared a special bond with Anthony. They considered themselves brothers and shared many, adventures together.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Isaac Bush, Grandfather, Charlie Owl Sr., His parents, Leon and Annie Bearpaw and Uncle Benny Bush. His last words were to his Uncle Ronnie to "take care of his things & Grandma."
He was happiest in the country, growing up with his aunts, uncles and siblings and his beloved Grandma. Anthony never married or had children of his own. But he was blessed with many children that thought of him as Dad. Anthony attended schools at Marble City, Tenkiller and Cave Springs. He was very athletic & played both basketball & softball. He graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1987. Although he disliked the academics of high school, he was also enrolled in Vo-Tech, where he excelled in everything to do with working with his hands. He received many honors for his excellent work. After high school, Anthony always found jobs to do. He had a good work ethic, always making sure his work was done right.
Anthony was employed at the Cherokee Casino, Roland, OK for 10 yrs, as Lead Facilities Maintenance Associate. Anthony was well loved by all who we're fortunate to know him. He always had a smile and maybe a joke or other humorous story to tell. He was never without something interesting to talk about. He had a vivid imagination. He played guitar and sang. All of his great nieces & nephews well remember Anthony singing to them, a favorite song, "Lil Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham & the Pharaoh's. They especially loved the howling part. Family meant everything to Anthony.
Anthony was of the Southern Baptist faith & read his Bible daily. He gave his life to the Lord, along with his Uncle Ronnie at age 12. He also leaves many, many other relatives & friends to mourn his departure from this life. Until we meet again....
