Bessie White

Bessie White, 79, a resident of San Antoni, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 11,2023. She was born on May 5, 1944 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to the late Ralph Thompson and Laura Lorene Thompson (Thompson).

Bessie was married to David Thompson on April 16, 1965 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. In 1975, they moved to Wynnewood, Oklahoma and remained there until 1982 when they were relocated to Midland, Texas with David's oil field production job. He retired in December of 2010 after 20 years of service as a production superintendent with Kerr-Patrick Oil Company.

Bessie and David moved to Stilwell in 2012 and were members of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Then in 2019 Bessie moved to San Antonio, Texas to live with her son, Travis White and remained there until her passing. Bessie Enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family, especially them grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years: David White, sisters, Loretta Howard, and Pat Viola Mitchell, and a brother; Ray Thompson.

Survivors include her children; Verril White and wife, Paula, of Dover, OK, Shane White, of Midland, TX, Travis White and wife, Maria, of San Antonio; brother: Roy Thompson, grandchildren, Geirn Chinn, Sarah Davidson, David Lee, David Shane, Bessie Marie (Cody) Smith, Stephanie Hernandez, Javier, Joshua and Anthony Hernandez; great grandchildren, Serenity Messick, Tyler Davidson, Scarlet Davidson, Abigail Chinn, Yahir Villegas, Bella Smith, Mark Smith, Elizabeth Villegas, Aaron Villegas, David Villegas, Isibeal Chinn, and Odon Chinn, and Siena Islas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2015 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Wendal Haugh officiating. Interment will follow at Stilwell City Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Hart Funeral Home from 3 PM until 7 PM.
