Brittany Sanders

Brittany Anne Sanders was born October 16, 1993 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Mark and Holly (Morton) Sanders. She passed from this life on February 28, 2023 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 29 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Brittany was a dreamer and outdoor girl who loved nature; spending time building teepees and campsites as well as hunting, fishing, camping and swimming.   She also enjoyed video games and beating Hannah at Mario Kart.  As a child, she enjoyed riding her stick horse, Lisa, for her grandmother Mary Ellen.  Her Granny Betty was her best friend and they enjoyed working puzzle books together.  Brittany was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa Jim Sanders, Papa Dennis Bennett, Nana Mary Ellen Morton; and great grandparents Sherman and Betty Sanders, Leo and Jean Ogden, Juanita and Walt Curtis, and Billy Lynn and Zora Morton.

Brittany leaves behind to cherish her memory, her father Mark Sanders of Stilwell; her mother Holly Morton of Durango, CO; siblings Hannah Morton of Fayetteville, AR, Bryce Sanders  and Cooper Sanders of Peggs;  Pop Stephen Morton; Nana Valeria Bennett of Stilwell; uncles Wade Morton of Stilwell, Will Morton and Chad Becker of Tulsa; aunts Hailey Jo Daugherty of Stilwell and Paisley Nicole Eagle of Stilwell and a close friend Nanny Nancy Langbein of Fayetteville, AR along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Dr. Neil Morton officiating.  Services were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home.
