Deloris Woods, the daughter of Adam and Willie (Kingfisher) Thirsty, was born April 3, 1959 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 28 days.
Deloris was a dedicated child of God. She was a member of Echota Baptist Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed going to singings, doing beadwork and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Deloris was outgoing and loved taking family trips to Eureka Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Thirsty Sr. and Willie Mae Thirsty; two aunts, Ella Mae Chewey and Sally Blackwood; three sisters, Harriet Bigpond, Maryetta Duncan and Sharon Thirsty.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bill Woods of the home in Stilwell; daughter, Heather (Woods) Vann and husband Mitchell of Stilwell; three grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Navaeh, Archer and Maejean Vann all of Stilwell. Deloris is also survived by her mother-in-law Jennie Soap of Stilwell; one uncle D.J. McCarter; three aunts, Lillie Perry of Tahlequah, O.J. Brown of Stilwell and Jessie Thomas of Sallisaw; seven sisters, Melissa Carson of Stilwell, Leslie Kirkpatrick of Tahlequah, Irma Ummerteskee of Tahlequah, Judy Coiner of Stilwell, Dana Killer of Stilwell, Kathy Scrapper of Stilwell and her adopted children, Shawn Wolfe, Vicki Rueda, Kellie Ramey, Rebecca Hensley and Loretta Smith and special nieces, Jessina Factor and Trisha Factor. Many friends, nieces, nephews and other family also survive her.
