Euphemia Lee (Jones) Griffith passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2015, at Tahlequah City Hospital with her family by her side. She was 84 years of age.

Euphemia was born November 10, 1931, in the Wauhillau Community, Stilwell, Oklahoma, to James Thomas and Dulsa Gladys (Shipman) Jones.

While working on her bachelor's degree, she met Bobbie Burnett Griffith and they married in October 1952. They later divorced in 1977.

After retiring, she moved from Stillwater to Wauhillau to help care for her parents. She enjoyed working in genealogy, collecting coins and stamps, traveling on bus tours with friends, and was a member of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education Club for Adair County.

Euphemia is survived by two daughters, Debralee McCoy and husband Clayton McCoy of McLoud, and Lynette Griffith of Stillwater; two grandchildren, Jared McCoy and wife Andrea of Edmond, and Kristen McCoy of Yukon; and great-grandchildren, Addison McCoy and Jordan McCoy of Edmond. She was preceded in death by her parents.
