Florene Gass

Florene Gass, the daughter of Jesse James and Ida Victoria (Clinton) O'Neal, was born April 10, 1934, in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She passed away April 4, 2023 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 88.

Florene was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma. She attended school at Rabbit Trap until the 4th grade and then began working in the fields. She worked at Midwestern Sewing Factory until she opened Titanic Upholstery, which she operated for over 35 years until her retirement at the age of 82.

She was blessed with 5 children, two sons, Edward and Dewayne, three daughters, Marie Beasley, LaVonna Carey and Malinda Childress.

Florene was saved, surrendered and received the Holy Ghost in 1997 and was a faithful member of Spade Mountain Holiness Church. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, quilting and upholstery.

Those preceding her in death include, her parents, Jesse and Victoria O'Neal, four brothers, Frank, Walter, George and James, four sisters, Ruby, Della, Maxine and Polly Janes and great grandson, Jared Fisher.

She leaves behind a loving family which includes, her sons, Edward Gass and wife, Reba and Dewayne Gass and wife, Jeanette, all of Stilwell; her daughters, Marie Beasley of Stilwell, LaVonna Carey and husband, Doc, of Tahlequah and Malinda Childress and husband, Paul of Stilwell; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
