Francis "Bugs" Marion Hensley, lifelong resident and Former Fire Chief of Mid-County Fire Department passed away at his home on Saturday October 2, 2021, with his family by his side. Bugs was born the son of Frank and Josie (Fields) Hensley on March 28, 1944 in Stilwell
He married Florine Morris on March 12, 1966 and to this union was born two children Thomas Hill and Kimberly Gayle.
Bugs enjoyed life and was a hardworking man. When he was younger he did his service in The United States National Guard. He was a former Fire Chief of Mid-County Fire Department and he wanted to make sure it was the best and take care of his community. Bugs put his heart and soul into the Mid County Fire Department and it meant the world to him.
He was also a Truck driver for 35 years and retired from Stilwell Foods. He truly just wanted to take care of his family. Bugs would always say "I live on the main street of Peavine"; and everyone would jokingly refer to him as ";the Mayor of Peavine."; He loved his family, he and his wife Florine spent 55 wonderful years together, he was very proud of his daughter Kim and his grandchildren and great grandchildren and he enjoyed spending time with them all. His grandsons, Alex and Brent were his pride and joy and he told everyone who would listen to him about them, everywhere he went.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; Frank and Josie Hensley, his son Thomas Hill Hensley, brother Bill Hensley, and niece Anjanette Hensley.
He is survived by a loving family which includes; his wife of the home Florine (Fields) Hensley, daughter Kimberly Gayle Girdner and husband Dale of Stilwell, grandchildren Alex Girdner and wife Kristy, Brent Girdner and wife Karley, great-grandchildren Kamry, Gauge, Ty, Copper and Charlotte, and a nephew Miles Hensley. Numerous family and friends who also survive him.
