Frank Hays, the son of George Frank Hays, Sr. and Ida Elizabeth (Carter) Hays, was born July 9, 1955, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on October 16, 2015, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas, at the age of 60.
Frank was married to JoNell Ramey in Bunch, Oklahoma on August 10, 2011. They were high school sweethearts who reconnected later in life. Frank loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed every minute he was able to spend with them.
Frank grew up attending Broken Arrow Public Schools and during his high school years he worked for the Reinhold Albers Dairy. After leaving high school, he went to work for the city of Broken Arrow, spending 10 years in their employment. Frank then went to work for Apex Concrete, setting forms for streets and curbing. In 1990, he went to work for Amoco Oil Company as a heavy equipment operator. in 1998, Frank suffered a work related injury that cut short his career.
Frank enjoyed coon hunting and fishing and raised coon dogs in his earlier years. Frank was a member of Jesus Outreach Church in Bunch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Frank Sr. and Ida Hays, one sister, Francis Jean Hays and one niece, Sandy Jean Decker.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife and love of his life, JoNell Hays and son, Jason Shook and mother-in-law, Joyce Ramey all of the home; his children, Kim Cargill, Benjamin Hays and Amanda Hays and their mother, Deon Douglas; siblings, Elizabeth Ann "Ban" Rains and husband, Jerry, of Big Cabin, OK, Georgia Lee Pack of Kellyville, OK and Betty Ellen Hays, of La Porte, TX; grandchildren, Samantha Simpson, Harlan Ethridge, Franklin Ethridge, Benjamin Jr., Lexie, Addison, Haley and Cody Hays.
