Gary Wayne Nofire, Jr. the son of Gary and Carolyn (Shell) Nofire, was born September 24, 1975 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He departed this life on October 31, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 41.

Gary was raised by his grandparents, Louise and Jerry Nofire, and honored their teachings and responsibility to him throughout his life. He was known as "Jason" by family and friends.

He attended Greasy School and enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball. Gary enjoyed having fun and was a practical joker. He also enjoyed coaching his children in ball and was their biggest fan. His other hobbies included camping, fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren.

Gary married Vickie Cobb on March 4, 2013 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Gary was an accomplished artist, focusing on Native American themes, such as knives, tomahawks and making a pipe out of a deer horn as well as paintings and drawings and always gave away the things he made to family and friends.

He was a loving and caring individual, who would do anything for anyone and would give all that he had to someone in need.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Nofire, paternal grandmother, Louise Nofire, maternal grandmother, Georgia Ward, Maternal grandfather, Stealer Shell, one brother, Maxie Nofire and one sister, Janice Nofire.

His surviving family includes, wife Vickie, of the home; mother, Carolyn Rich and husband Arles, of Stilwell; daughters, Amanda Ingram and companion, Zack Ford, of Tahlequah, Victoria Rose and companion, Matt Santana, of Tahlequah, Summer Nofire and companion, Jerrod Foreman, of Tahlequah; sons, Keegan Nofire and Jason Nofire, of Stilwell; grandfather, Rev. Jerry Nofire, of Stilwell; siblings, James and Tena Nofire, of Bunch, Roanetta and Robbie Billy, of Muskogee, Cary Nofire, of Colcord, Jennifer and Darren Cochran, of Kansas, OK, Starla and Thomas Newman, of Stilwell, Pauline and Jimmy Livers, of Stilwell, Eva and Monroe Cochran, of Stilwell, Norma Cochran and companion, Roger Clinton, of Stilwell, Lavonna and Thurman Scott, of Stilwell, Rose and Jerry Cochran, of Westville, Bobbi Sue and Curtis Turner, of Stilwell, Jodi and Lonnie Ross, of Stilwell, Kimberly and Justin Doublehead, of Stilwell, Eugene and Betty Nofire, of Stilwell, Jr. and Frances Nofire, of Stilwell; grandchildren, Beckett Foreman, Gary Newgin, Breanna Ingram, Mandi Ingram and Hidie Rose. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive him.
