Georgia Kent

Georgia Lee Kent the daughter of Thomas Scott and Laura (Buckhorn) Wells was born May 16, 1941 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 22, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 6 days.

Georgia enjoyed life and she loved her family. She enjoyed going fishing and traveling. She spent most of her time on a ball field somewhere watching her children or grandchildren playing ball. Georgia had a heart for people and that helped her in her career as a social worker. She spent more than 40 years working in the Human Services department of Cherokee Nation. Georgia touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son Billy "Bud" Kent.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her sons Leslie Hannah and wife Tori of Tahlequah, Aaron Hannah and wife Tammie of Siloam Springs, Dell Kent of Stilwell and David Kent of Stilwell; her siblings Charles Scott of California, Alice Crawford of Arizona and Johnny Wells of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
