Haskell Young

Haskell Henry Young passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Jerry L. Pettis Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda, CA at the age of 94.

He was born in Stilwell, OK on April 27, 1920. He was the son of Dr. Edward Thomas Young and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Irene Barker Young. He survived his parents and six sisters, Eula, Bertha, Kennie, Lucille, Maude and Hazel.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Lowe and husband Jim Lowe of Riverside, CA; one granddaughter, Monette Ryan and husband Pat Ryan, two great grandchildren, Michael Michel and Kaitlin Michel of Santa Ana, CA and Linda's mother, Audrey Crespin of Anaheim, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He served in the Army Air Force, the Air Force, the Army and Navy Reserves. He retired from American Airlines as a mechanic. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 308 in Tulsa, OK.

He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, churches, music, singing and traveling and working on the farm in Stilwell where he was born. He lived and worked in Tulsa most of his life, but his heart was always home in Stilwell.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
