James Clinton Blakemore was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma on July 13, 1925 and died August 7, 2022 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he lived the majority of his adult life. He was the son of William (Willy) Ray and Una Mae (Ables) Blakemore.
After graduation from Stilwell High School, James served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Following honorable discharge from the Army, he furthered his education at Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater and received a degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
James was successful in several career endeavors, including owner/operator of restaurants in Tulsa and Fayetteville; and as representative for Anderson Clayton Food Service brokerage firm.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Una Blakemore; a son, James Lee Blakemore; a daughter, Jeannine Marie (Blakemore) Clevenger; five brothers, Wayne, Glenn, J.D., Tom and William (Bill); and one sister, Etta Mae Watson.
He is survived by one son, Larry Alan Blakemore; multiple grandchildren, great grandchilddren, extended family members and friends.
