James Hughes

James Hughes, 71, passed away April 19, 2022, at home in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.

James was born April 9, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Evelyn (Walker) Rapp and James Bailey Hughes. James was married to Terrie (Smith) Hughes on July 16, 1973.

James is survived by his wife; Terrie Hughes, his two children; Melissa Harjo and James Hughes, son-in-law; Reuben Harjo, grandchildren; Jayden and Aubrielle Harjo, brothers; Bill Hughes and Jon Wells, sisters Kathy Strickland and Beverly Thompson and Karen Day, aunts; cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn (Walker) Rapp and father James Bailey Hughes, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts and uncles, mother-in-law Myrna Kelley and father-in-law James Smith.
