James David Murphy the son of Arch and Bessie (Hughes) Murphy was born February 24, 1951 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on June 1, 2018 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 8 days.

James enjoyed life and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was his world and he loved them very much. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to car shows. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially just being a dad and Papa. James touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marjorie (Campbell) Murphy; and his siblings Haskell Murphy, Margaret Scrapper, Marie Rider, and Bessie Sue VanBibber.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his daughters Destanie Alberty and husband Jack of Bunch and Kari Ann Murphy and husband Jordan Hummingbird of Stilwell; and his grandchildren James Bryan Murphy "Bubbie", Jordan Jaze Hummingbird "Choog", Magi Marie Hummingbird "Sister", Jason Alex Hummingbird "Little Dude" and Micah Murphy "Wookie", and a very special daughter-in-law, Akiera and husband Mitch and their "Little Tribe".
