JD Cochran was born on April 19 1942, to the late Roger and Nancy (Sawney) Cochran in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and passed away at his home on August 30, 2021.
JD was a kind, caring and loving person. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved going to church when his health allowed him. He loved his Lord and Savior with all of his heart. JD loved the outdoors, fishing, going hunting with his brothers, dad, nephew, George Teehee, friend B.B. Livers and late brother in law, Lee Terrapin. JD had a heart of pure gold. Though JD was a serious man, he was ornery and loved to tease his nieces and nephews and have a good laugh with them. If there was ever a time someone needed help, no questions JD dropped what he was doing to lend a helping hand and that is just the kind of man he was raised to be. JD will be missed dearly by all his family and friends he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Nancy Cochran, his daughter, Tina Cochran, his sisters and brother in laws, Sally and husband Lee Terrapin, JoAnn Smith, Charlie and wife Georgia, Faye Cochran and Andy Cochran.
He is survived by a loving family which includes, sister, Lizzie Teehee of Stilwell, 3 children, Carla Gonzales and husband Billy, Harold Cochran and wife Angie, and Mark Bunch, 5 great nieces, Clarissa Eagle and husband Marcus Thompson, Delanna Clayton, DeAnna Nofire, Rayna Kay Eagle all of Tahlequah, Cheryl Dreadfulwater and husband Timothy of Wagoner, special great nephew, Jacob Nofire and wife Misty of Tahlequah, special friends, Felix Livers, Robert Livers, Richard Livers and B.B. Livers. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, grandchildren, cousins, friends and family who will miss him dearly.
A special thanks to Jacob and Misty Nofire for doing all you could for our uncle, father, brother and friend. It warmed our hearts to know he was so well cared for and taken care of when we couldn't be there. It takes someone special and to have love in their heart to do what you all did for uncle JD.
