Jennie Mae Soap was born July 8, 1934 to Jess Soap and Ollie (England) Soap in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Jennie went home to be with her Lord on August 20, 2021 at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 12 days.
Jennie was a child of God and a member of Antioch Baptist Church for 42 years, becoming a member in 1979. Jennie loved catfish and her favorite restaurants were Big Red and Something Sweet, where she loved eating with her family.
Jennie loved working with her hands such as knitting and beadwork and she was a fluent Cherokee speaker. She never met a stranger. Jennie loved to cook and whenever visitors came to her home they never left there hungry. She loved kids so much and worked as a teacher's aide for 35 years.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Ollie Soap, sister Nancy Soap, brother J.B. Soap, daughter-in-law Deloris Woods and brothers-in-law Jim Thomas and J.L. Brown.
Family left to survive her includes, her son Billy Gene Woods, granddaughter Heather (Woods) Vann and husband Mitch Vann, who was like her own grandson, great grandchildren whom she adored so much Navaeh Vann, whom Jennie called Baby Girl, Archer Vann, whose nickname was Bubba or Little Sweetheart and Maejean Vann, whom Jennie nicknamed Baby Bug. Other survivors include her sisters Ollie Jean Brown and Jessie Thomas, special nieces Lynn Thomas and Darlene Soap, special nephews David Soap, Daniel Soap and Russel Glass and a host of family and friends.
