Joe Young, Jr.

Joe Young, Jr. was born September 19, 1938, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Richard and Julia Ann Rider Young. He passed from this life on October 28, 2014, at his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 76.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Adair County and worked as an auto body painter and repairman for many years. His hobbies included playing pool at the Senior Nutrition Center, playing guitar and watching sports of any kind. His greatest enjoyment was found is the time he spent with his grandkids. Joe was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Young and Virginia Dotson.

Joe leaves behind a loving family which includes, his children, Kelly Funburg and husband, Doug, of Stilwell, Tracie Pierce and husband, Greg, of Siloam Springs, AR, Chero Young and wife, Penny, of Colcord sister, Susan Young, of Stilwell nine grandchildren, Cody Young, of Siloam Springs, AR, Brent Funburg, of Stilwell, Felisha DeVoe and husband, Chadd and Lane Wilson, of Siloam Springs, AR, Jasie Young, of Stilwell, Tyra Hill and husband, Austin, of Stilwell, Loren Young, of Colcord, Cheyenne Young, of Stilwell and Joseph Choogie Young, of Colcord, and two great grandchildren, Bentlee DeVoe and Skyler Joe Young, Several nieces, nephews and other family and friends also survive him.
