In Loving Memory of Joseph Wayne Hummingbird

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Wayne Hummingbird, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Joseph, born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on May 20, 1966, peacefully departed from this world on December 7, 2023, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Graveside Services 12:30 pm, Wednesday December 13,2023 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Fort Gibson, OK., 74960 with military honors. There will be no public visitation.
Joseph lived a life filled with adventure and passion. He proudly served his country in the Air Force, dedicating himself to defending and protecting his fellow citizens. Joseph's love for history was unparalleled, and he found great joy in expanding his knowledge through the History Channel.
An accomplished sportsman, Joseph had a deep love for baseball. He showcased his talent on the field during his time in the Air Force, leaving behind cherished memories for his teammates and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his loving parents, Johnnie and Susie Hummingbird, and his dear brother, Johnny Hummingbird Jr.
He is survived by his sisters, Cherry Thompson, Susan Minor (Roger) and Mary Hummingbird , his brother Sean Hummingbird (Dana), sister-in-law Becky Hawkins, uncle Stann Hummingbird Jr., and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
As we bid farewell to Joseph, let us remember the warmth and kindness he extended to all who crossed his path. May his memory forever echo in our hearts, and may we find solace in the knowledge that he is at peace. Rest in eternal harmony, Joseph Wayne Hummingbird.
