Josiah Sawney

Josiah Cynol Sawney was born January 26, 1991 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Rick Sawney and Karen Gordon. Gone without understanding, Josiah left us on March 21, 2019.

In his life, he filled this world with his beautiful smile, his humor and tons of charisma. He was loved deeply by many and will be greatly missed.

Josiah is survived by his wife Francisca Martinez. His sons Josiah Jacoby Sawney of Greensboro, NC, Tristan Raymond Wayne Spry of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Logan Eli Sawney of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Angelo Jordan Sawney and Frankie Jay Sawney. His Father Rick Sawney and wife Lisa Pritchett of Stilwell. Mother Karen Gordon of Greensboro, NC. His sisters Mandessa Berry and husband Richard of Greensboro, NC, Rikki and Shae Sawney of Greensboro, NC, and Serenity Sawney of Stilwell, OK. Brothers Caleb, Cadence and Cash Sawney of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. His Uncles Josiah Vann of Stilwell and Chris Sawney of Tahlequah. Aunts Brandee Sawney and Dawn Murray both of Stilwell, OK. And his grandmother Sharon Shell of Stilwell, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Rickie Sawney, great grandparents John Henry and Pauline Sawney, Steeler Shell and Georgia Ward, uncles Roger Sawney and Scott Sawney and cousin Gary Nofire.

Josiah's sister Rikki writes,

To know Josiah was to love him! His infectious laugh, charming smile, and keen sense of humor. Josiah had an eye for detail and loved any mechanical challenge, he was so smart. My brother was a proud father, he had 5 amazing boys whom he loved dearly, (they all look so much like him!) Josiah loved his family unconditionally and would do anything to see them happy. My brother was a natural aide, and loved to help. His heart was so full and loving.

To have any memory of this guy is such a blessing, Josiah Cynol was noticeably loved and will never be forgotten.
