Linda Lowrance

1954 — January 1, 2023

Tahlequah

Linda Marie (Hogner) Lowrance was born December 16, 1954, to William Edward Hogner and Virginia Sue (Tabor) Hogner in Merced, California.  Linda passed from this life on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 68 years, 2 months, and 2 days.

As an only child Linda spent a great deal of her childhood hunting, fishing, golfing, and camping with her parents. During her junior year in high school, she and her parents moved to Oklahoma and she helped them with the chicken houses they cared for. During this time Linda learned to weld and was really pretty good at it. She also learned to change the oil in her Riviera. A favorite memory for Linda was when she and her bestie, Pat, would walk to the drug store for a Coke and peanuts which they would put in their Coke. Pat and Linda remained lifelong friends. Linda graduated from Stilwell High School in 1973.

Linda spent many years as a hairdresser. She worked hard as a single mother to provide for her children. Her children were her pride and joy. She and her children enjoyed short road trips, putt-putt golf, and drive-in movies.  She even coached their soccer teams.

On June 10, 1987, Linda married the love of her life Kenneth William Lowrance. They had many, many adventures together. They enjoyed driving long-haul trucks while visiting family and friends along the way, playing cribbage, listening to music, and hosting gatherings in their home. On January 31, 2019, God called Kenny home and Linda’s life would never be the same. Linda did her best to fill her time by visiting other church families and with her part-time job at the Tahlequah Drug Company making deliveries.  Linda gained some very special friends at TDC and she loved them dearly.

Linda leaves behind her daughter Valerie Lynn Patterson and husband Jeff of Welling; son Charley Edward Coombes and wife Robbie of Stilwell; three grandsons, Dalyn Mitchell Patterson, Braelyn Samuel Patterson, Chet Edward Patterson, and grand-dogs, as well as a host of family and friends.

Linda is proceeded in death by her parents William Edward (Eddie) Hogner, Virginia (Sue) and Roland (Joe) Arnold, and husband Kenneth (Kenny) William Lowrance.

Our family is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. The prayers and acts of kindness, mean more than we could ever express. Thank you for taking the time to honor Linda.
