Loretta Reese

Loretta Jean Vanderheiden Reese passed from this life at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma on April 6, 2018.

Jean, as she like to be called, was born to Jim and Bernice Vanderheiden on January 1, 1943 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma.

She worked as a school teacher, mostly in special education, and eventually became a professional education diagnostician in 1981. After retiring from education, she worked as a counselor in a Psychiatric hospital in Lewisville, Texas for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Murray Wayne Reese and her parents, Jim and Bernice Vanderheiden.

She leaves behind to mourn, three sisters, Irene Christopher and husband John of Wright City, Missouri, Rosa Workman and husband Clebe of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Sylvia Liles and husband Jim of Edmond, Oklahoma and one brother, Harold Vanderheiden and wife Rena, also of Stilwell, Oklahoma and eight nephews.

Burial was held at 10 am, April 10, 2018 at Stilwell City under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at hartfuneralhome.net.
