Mary Folsom

Mary Alene Folsom was born in Geneva, Alabama, January 26, 1927, To Vivian and Clifford Ashley. She left this life February 9, 2022 at the age of 95, at Heritage Grove Assisted Living in Tahlequah, OK.
Mary was a waitress when she met Robert Frank Folsom. They were married in May of 1947. She took on the role of a military wife moving every four years across the United States including fours years in Lakenheath, England. She was the true definition of a loving homemaker. Following retirement from the Air Force, Mary and Robert moved to McAlester, OK, until Roberts retirement from the Civil Service. One last move to Poteau, OK where Mary served as caregiver to Roberts ailing aunt.

Mary loved music and was a faithful member of Poteau United Methodist Church choir. Another passion was her ladies bowling league.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Folsom, daughter, Betty Vondy, son, Michael Folsom, 2 brothers and 2 sisters

Mary is survived by her son Joe Folsom, grandsons, Jason Folsom, Matt Folsom, Bob Folsom, Tony Folsom, Danny Folsom, Ron Weis and wife Lisa, sons Jesse and Zack Weis. Granddaughter, Dawn Vondy Tupper and husband Robert. Great grandchildren Brianna Gren husband Cody and children Rylee Brinley and Liam. Also Cydney Funk, Ally Funk and Bryce Funk. Also survived by sister Sharlon Smith and brother Charles Ashely.
