Mary Wheeler

Mary Catherine Wheeler the daughter of Shelby and Myrtle (Pack) Girdner was born October 12, 1937, in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 19, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 1 month, and 7 days.

Mary enjoyed life and she loved her family. She was a very successful Real Estate agent in Tennessee, then she worked several other jobs including driving a semi truck to her most recent as a teacher's aid at Zion Public Schools. She was very conscious of her physical fitness, and she would walk at least 2 miles every day. She was a huge sports fan. She played basketball in high school and followed sports throughout her life. She enjoyed watching football, basketball or just about any sport. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She thought they were her own children and wanted to be called "Mom Mary". She loved them dearly, almost as much as her little red car. Mary was a member of Bunch Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother Charles Girdner.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughter Debbie VanDenhende and husband Chris of Tulsa; her sister Bertha Ketcher of Stilwell; her brother Jerry Girdner and wife Cherylene of Stilwell; her grandsons Casey Casamento and Craig Casamento; and her great-grandchildren Elliot, Ruby, Olivia and Henry. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
