Patricia H. (Mays) Isaacs, the daughter of George and Pauline (Payne) Mays, was born September 1, 1939, in Bunch, OK and went home to be with our Lord on September 9, 2016 at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma surrounded by a loving family.
She grew up in Bunch and attended Cave Springs School, graduating in 1958. After the passing of her husband, Benny Ford, Pat married Norman Isaacs on September 10, 1966, and together they raised their six children.
Pat spent most of her life as a homemaker and loved her role as caregiver to her family. She was a wonderful cook who always had a big supper ready when Daddy came home from work. She also made the best fried pies. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spoiling her grandkids. She sewed many of her daughters' clothes and could be found staying up late at night to finish them after her daily work was done. Pat had a big heart for those in need and would share anything she had.
She loved flowers and plants and could make just about anything grow. Over the years, she canned many vegetables and made numerous jars of jelly which she always shared. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles and wood working.
After Norman's retirement she managed Isaacs Service Station for a few years until the family business was sold. Later, she began working as a home health provider taking care of several of her "little ladies" as she called them, going out of her way to make them feel special.
Pat was a founding member of Liberty Baptist Church and maintained her membership there until her passing, serving as the church treasurer for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Mays, her first husband, Benny Ford, two brothers, Dwight and Dwaine Mays, one sister, Wanna Jean Mays.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving family which includes, her husband, of 50 years, Norman Isaacs, of the home; their children, David and Debbie Isaacs, of Lincoln, AR, Kathy DeSpain and Rob Frederick, of Stilwell, Mark Isaacs, of Vian, Paula and Marion Cornett, of Maynard, AR, Susan and Don Waldrop, of Stilwell, Daniel and Devon Isaacs, of Stilwell; two brothers, Larry Mays, of Independence, MO and Tom Mays, of Houston,Texas; two sisters, Verlia Leatherwood, of Stilwell and Carline Morrison, of Raytown, MO; 13 grandchildren, Jeremy and Brenda Isaacs, Steven and Erin DeSpain, Jennifer and Joel Smith, Robert and Christine DeSpain, Rebekah and Kyle Rhea, Dustyn and Courtney DeSpain, Michael and Bridgett Cornett, Nicholas Isaacs, Matthew and Bailey Waldrop, Jonathan and Tia Cornett, Nathan and Nova Waldrop, Jacob Isaacs and Crystal Isaacs; 14 great grandchildren, Josiah, Elaina, Karissa, Ruthanna, Makayla, Joshua, David, Noah, Hannah, Jackson, Timley, Drew, Cherish and Aaron.
