Richard  Deason

Richard Leon Deason, age 67, of Stilwell, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Leon was born October 14, 1955 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Burl and Della Mae (O’Neal) Deason. He grew up in the Rabbit Trap Community and graduated from the Stilwell High School. Richard worked for Greenleaf and Baldor as a machine operator. Richard loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, working with his roosters, playing dominos and hanging out with his friends.

Survivors include one Son Patrick and wife Meriah Kirk; two nieces Deanna Deason and partner Shane Garrett, and Sonya Deason; grandchild Myla Kirk; great nieces and nephews Cross Deason, Flint Garrett, Nancy Garrett, Frank Deason, Cali Deason and Polly Deason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, One brother Wesley Deason and sister in law Alice Faye Deason.
