Robert Young

Robert Young was born August 4, 1944 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to William Young and Mary Waters. He passed away October 4, 2021 at 77 years of age.

Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was very proud of his service in the Army. After returning home he attended Northeastern State University and started in the profession of law enforcement and security for many years. He married Coweta Ketcher in 1980 and together they enjoyed a life of laughter, love, and caring for their sons, family, and friends. He was truly one of the most generous individuals you could meet. He was a very good artist, mechanic, and musician. He played both the bass and guitar. He especially loved playing gospel music in church or anywhere folks would gather to praise Jesus. He was a member of Mulberry Tree Baptist Church and cared deeply for his Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Preceding him in death was his wife Coweta of 28 years. His parents, brother Joe Young, sisters Viola Brown, Louise Burnette, and Juanita Henson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three Sons, Clay and Crystal Young, Matthew Young, and John and Rosa Killer. Grandchildren Brody and Emmy Young, Josh and Tiffany Killer, Misty Thomas and great granddaughter Natalie Thomas. His nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. He genuinely loved all of you.
