Rueben Day McMurrian of Stilwell, Oklahoma passed away on May 16, 2022, at the age of 61. Rueben was born on August 4, 1960 the son of Kenneth and Josephine (Batt) McMurrian in Sallisaw, OK.

Rueben or most may have known him as "Oody" was your typical country man who could build pretty much anything he wanted. He graduated from Stilwell High School with the class of 1978, and then went on to earn an Associates degree and was on the honor roll at OSU in Okmulgee with certification to be a diesel mechanic. He also competed in spelling bee's almost making it to the very top. He was very smart. Oody loved his family dearly and love to joke with them cutting up having a good time. His daughter; Sallie was very special to him and he loved being her dad. Some of his greatest times, was spending time with his girlfriend of many years; Loretta, going fishing, back roading, collecting antiques, hunting, riding motorcycles, and driving his race cars. Oody might have been quiet, but he had a fun sense of humor and could make anyone smile. He was a man of his word and always respected his mother who was very dear to him. Oody will be missed dearly by everyone he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by; Kenneth and Josephine, maternal grandparents; Sallie Scott Batt and Daylight Batt, Paternal grandparents; Hortense Moon McMurrian and Ruben McMurrian, stepdaughter; Lauryn Daisy Guthrie.

He is survived by his family, which includes his girlfriend of the home; Loretta Wardell-Bills, daughter; Sallie McMurrian, step daughters; Chayne Fortner, Nikki; step son-in-law; Robbie, step grandson, Edin. sisters; Sharon Collins and husband Carl, Neta McMurrian, and Trina Jackson and husband Jeff, 2 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Numerous family and friends he leaves behind.
