Shirley Gaches

Shirley Jo Gaches the daughter of Gene and Jewel (Newman) Ritter was born October 24, 1940 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 22, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 26 days.

Shirley loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed working outside in the garden. She loved flowers and watching the birds around the house. She spent her time reading and working puzzles. Shirley was the boss and she liked to be the top dog. She loved Mexican food and enjoyed eating out at her favorite Mexican Restaurant. Shirley touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson, Daniel Brock Smith Maynard.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Farris Gaches of the home; her children Rhonda Smith of Tulsa, Darrell Hudson of Jay, Keith Hudson and wife Shannon of Bristow, and Kathy Sellers of Braggs; her sister Janet Meyer and husband Doy of Stilwell; 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, many friends and other relatives also survive her.
