Wilma Dean Wolf Jones

Wilma Dean Wolf Jones, a beloved resident of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on November 9th, 2023, at the age of 86. Born on April 1st, 1937, in Echota, Oklahoma. She married Edward Wolf on Feburary 10th, 1956 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Wilma was the daughter of Silaus Raymond and Lura Mae (Fuson) Brannon. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.Top of Form

Wilma will be remembered as a devoted Hostess for Casa View Baptist Church for over three decades, as well as her time spent working in the Mesquite Independent School District cafeteria. She had a warm and loving spirit, always putting others before herself. Wilma enjoyed baking, cooking, and spending time outdoors, especially tending to her beloved garden. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she found great solace and joy in attending church. Additionally, she cherished the companionship of her loyal dog Peanut.

 

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s Edward Wolf and Robert Jones, and her siblings Arlis Brannon, Shearill Brannon, Dorothy Snyder, Frances Whiddon, and Colain Margerum.

Wilma will be greatly missed by her six children, Darrell Edward Wolf, Sharon Jo Lyon, Karla Rae Rable (David Jr.), Cheryl Lynette Reed (Randal), Sonya Gayle Schofield, and Sharla Elisse McKee. She is also survived by her seventeen grandchildren, Dustin Wolf (Jennifer), Casey Dowd (Jason), Don Lyon, Tonya Lyon, David Rable III (Michelle), Stephanie Canatsey (Ryan), Joshua Rable, Kendra Dashti, Kandice Kuykendall (Clint), Krystal Allen (Wesley), Kenneth Reed IV, Raymond Fuentes III, Audra Duran (Stephen), Jonathan Shanks (Cheyenne), Bailey McMikel (Tyler), Cauy Owens (fiancée Ryah), and Garrett Crouch. Additionally, Wilma leaves behind thirty-two cherished great-grandchildren and her dear neighbor and friend, Aubrey Blunt.

A visitation ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Mulberry Tree Baptist Church in Stilwell, OK, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Mulberry Tree Cemetery.
