Brenda Braden

Brenda Jean Braden, daughter of Bob Braden and Norma Jean (Skitt) Drury, was born October 5, 1960 in Beaumont, California. She passed from this life on July 27, 2021 at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 22 days.

As the oldest sister to her younger brothers, Brenda took care of them as a mother would; cooking for them and looking after them. Brenda obtained her GED and received a Bachelor's degree at Northeastern State University. She then began working at the Stilwell Nursing Home where she worked for several years.

She was a loving grandma who was always there for her grandkids to listen and help them through their problems.. Brenda had a big heart and would help anyone She was often found dancing to the radio which brought a smile to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Drury and three children, Felix Robert Sanders, Shane Watie and Shawn Watie.

Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her soul mate Steve Workman of Stilwell; her children Natasha Sanders of Washington, Lavelle Watie of Sallisaw and Nicole Watie of Muldrow; brothers David Braden and wife Teresa of Georgia and Edward Braden of Stilwell; her sister Delilah Braden of Arizona, 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
