Glenda Clinton

November 28, 1952 — December 15, 2020

Glenda Kay Clinton, the daughter of Shermon and Ada Elizabeth (Duncan) Coombes, was born November 28, 1952, in Westville, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 15, 2020, at home surrounded by family and friends in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years and 17 days.

Glenda was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her family was top on her list and she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, but she loved being with Earl anywhere, anytime, whether at home or the lake which was their home away from home. She enjoyed doing crafts with her sisters; as well as going shopping with them. In her free time, she loved to cross-stitch, shell pecans, and make homemade jellies. She became good at navigating Facebook and enjoyed being able to keep up with people and looking at all the pictures. She never met a stranger, and if you ever went shopping with her you knew a ten minute trip would take two hours. Glenda loved the Lord, and she read her Bible everyday. When she got to where she couldn't read it, Shermanda would read it to her. The love that she had in her heart spilled over to touch many lives over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Karen Ketcher.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 48 years, Earl D. Clinton of the home; her children Earl Clinton Jr. and wife Kendra of Stilwell, and Shermanda Dandridge and husband Freddy of Stilwell; her sisters Mary Caviness and husband Jerry of Stilwell and Lena Worley of Westville; her brother Shermon Coombes and wife Henryetta of Stilwell; her grandchildren Freddy Dandridge III and wife Jody, Erann West and husband Daniel, Jacob Dandridge, Ryleigh Clinton, Hunter Dandridge, and PraisLee Dandridge; and her great-grandchildren Allie Kay Dandridge and Truett Graham Dandridge. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
