John Cooper

John Henry Cooper was born on December 9, 1946 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Chester H. and Edna Mae (Martin) Cooper.  He passed from this life on October 31, 2020 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 22 days.

John worked for Latco as a welder for many years. He liked to ride on the pontoon boat and enjoyed fishing with his extended family, Bob and Pat Leatherwood.

John is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, Joe (J.C.) Cooper, J.R. Cooper, J.T. Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Jimmy Eugene Cooper, Charles Edward Cooper and his oldest sister Lena Mae Cooper.

He is survived by his brother Jerry Lee Cooper of Yukon, OK, sister Helen-Ellen Cooper and companion Kenny of Bartlesville, OK, Reba Morris and husband Russell of Stilwell, OK, and his extended family, The Leatherwoods, whom he loved dearly.  He always expressed he had to stay to take care of Pat even though it was she that took care of him.  John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
