Judy Brackett

Judy Sue Brackett, age 78 of Stilwell, Oklahoma passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Washington Regional Medical Center.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Hart Funeral Home in Stilwell, Oklahoma with Audie Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home.

Visitation hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Hart Funeral Home. Friends may leave online condolences at www.hartfuneralhome.net.

Judy Sue Brackett was born April 29, 1944 to Harry Matlock and Maxine Caldwell and she was raised by Foss & Haley Brannon as a daughter. Judy grew up in the Rocky Mountain area and attended school at Cave Springs.

On July 12, 1960 Judy married Frank Brackett in Stilwell, Oklahoma where the couple made their home. Judy had various jobs as well as being a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, loved to have big meals and have everyone come. She also loved sewing, spending time outside planting flowers, loved the holidays & decorating, flea markets, and going to church when she was able. Judy always made everyone feel welcomed and loved and made sure she had a chocolate pie for her son Frank.

Survivors include her husband Frank of the home; children Frank and Sara Brackett, Regona and Leroy Son, Jeniece and Rodney Talbott, Heather and Bryan Woodworth and son-in-law Edward Scott; siblings Preston and wife Ava Brannon, Larry and Stacy Matlock, Linda Nelson, Karen Hakes, Shannon Golloway and sister-in-law Wanda Brannon; 23 grandchildren, 32 great Grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Angie Scott, one granddaughter Gabrielle Paige and one great granddaughter Mya Oakley.
