Sterling David Morton, son of Sterling Lewis and Irene (Icely) Morton, was born October 25, 1950 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life May 6, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 11 days.
David worked as an independent truck driver for over 30 years. He enjoyed riding and taking care of his horse, working on his truck, mushroom hunting, fishing and he loved playing with his grandkids. David was a best friend to many and was always there when someone needed him. He will be deeply missed my all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Amber Morton of Tahlequah and Alana Morton of Westville; siblings, Debbie Rice, of Independence, KS, Mary Ritchey of Hulbert, Sam Morton of Independence, MO, Ronald Suddarth of Tulsa and Pauline Morton of California; grandchildren, Monica, Hannah, Cameron, Madison and McKenna Russell and Connor Hilburn. Several nieces, nephews and other family and friends also survive him.
